Looking to send something to a BFPO address? Sending gifts or other items to a BFPO destination? There is a large amount of information available on the BFPO Website and also on this site Sending to BFPO. The sites list a whole range of information; from which companies are contracted to deliver items to BFPO addresses, to advice on estimated delivery times.

As a general rule it helps to have sensible expectations with regard to parcel delivery times to BFPO destinations. While delivery times to BFPO's in Germany can be fairly consistent at around 5 to 7 working days; delivery to 'operational' areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan can take anything up to 20 days or so. That is not to say that items cannot arrive within the week, they frequently do, but there are no guarantees that this will be the case. If you feel that an item is taking unusually long (for example much longer than items you have sent yourself to the same destination) you should contact the retailer and check that your item is in transit.
